An Earth Shattering Fart
My response to "A Sound of Thunder" was how crazy one little small change, can make a big difference. For example, in the story Eckels just got out of the pathway and stepped a butterfly in the past and when he came to the future, the writing was different and it changed the presidency. So all Eckels did was step on a butterfly and it changed many big things. I also found the story interesting because of the time traveling and hunting dinosaurs.
Something Interesting
Something interesting is that I'm trying to catch up on my blogs for this course.
WOW, THAT WAS QUICK
All I can say is that time goes by so fast. I still remember the first day of class, where we had to choose blogs or books and the final exam was a long time yet to come. Now we took the final exam and the first semester is almost over. I find it crazy.

"Immigrants in our land"
So today during English class I re-read "Immigrants in our land" by Jimmy Santiago Baca and Jessica Para's analysis and I agree with Jessica. I agree on how the poem is saying how immigrants are leaving because of the bad things that is happening in their native land, but the place they migrate to is no different. Also, I think that immigrants have high hopes and probably get disappointed because, like I mentioned, it's no different.
Also, when my table and I were talking about the poem, we were talking about how we can see Jimmy Santiago Baca point of view when he was in jail. I can see his point of view when he says that his old clothes are taken away and how he has to wear an overall "mechanic wear". Another thing, is that he talks about what people were, what they did, in the "old life" and now in the "new life" (jail) "counselors" tell them what to do.

Team vocab
When it comes to the elections of this year many people can anticipate these two candidates to surely accuse each other from doings of the past. Each canadate tries to remain stolid but Hilary definitely outbeats trump. It's aggravating because trump and Hilary are constantly sticking their proboscis into everyone's business and venomously attacking each other. With each debate America is left suspended to watch the next one just to see the two yell at each other. Both Candidates try to hypnotize the world into thinking their fit to be president trying to prove that they can transform this world into something greater, but they simply just illuminate each other's faults.

A HUG IS NEARLY A GUN SPELLED BACKWARD
There
is a famous quote that I’ve always heard which is, “Family is the most
important thing in the world.” I’m conjecturing that E.M Foster, a writer,
agrees with this quote. Foster states that, in his point of view, personal
relations are more important than causes or patriotism. This got me thinking and wondering if I agree
with him. Therefore I put myself in the situation, which was if I would pick my
family and friends over my nation. And, I agree with E.M Foster that personal
relations are more important than patriotism.
I think friends and family is more
important because they have been with you almost your whole life. You know
their life stories and they know yours. For example, they know your interests,
goals, dislikes, personality and everything about you. Also, your personal
relationships involves love and care. I don’t think my whole nation cares about
me or even knows I exist because they don’t know me and I don’t know them, they
are strangers. Another reason why I would choose them over my whole nation is because
if you concentrate on just your nation and try to make it better then you’ll
end up alone and miserable because all you will end up with is a big union that
barely even know you.
Some may argue that causes and
patriotism is more important than personal interest because your whole nation
is more people and your friendship is less. They may also include that you are
being selfish because all you care is your people and not the others. In my
point of view the whole nation doesn’t compare the way you friends/family protect
and help you out. You communicate with them, unlike communicating with the
whole nation, for me, it would be impossible having a conversation. Also, yeah there’s
lots of people in our nation than our family, but our family is technically our
own world.
In conclusion, I’m with E.M Foster,
that personal relations are more important than patriotism. Even though, some
people may disagree because it would make a better place, I think most people
care about their family out all the things they have. Family is pretty much all
you have and an important thing.

Response ''The Conscience Hacker''
This article reminds me of how some people assume things. For example, some kids are using technology to do good things while some people assume its all bad. Another thing is that its giving us two different perspectives his and a second perspective that think technology is bad. Like he said its his world and he's not judging people how they look, like they are. He sort of uses irony when he mentions that how the other perspective thinks he's a criminal when they are all being racist, start wars, are murders, and are liars. And I think this makes the article interesting, by using two different perspectives.

While reading "The Right to Your Opinion" I realized that people argue just to be right and I have to admit I do it sometimes. When people say "I have a right to my own opinion," they just want to end the argument because they realized they are wrong and don't want to admit. I find this very true and always hear that excuse.
In "The Laughing Heart" I think its about even if your feeling lost, there is always a way out. You just got to stay positive and that there is way more to life than you think.
